Band of Thieves (1962, Acker Bilk and his Paramount Jazz Band)
A jazz band composed of convicts goes on tour when released as a cover for a string of robberies. A treat for trad jazz fans with a storming soundtrack, this also features extended inside and outside footage of Denham Coaches LUW61, a Harrington 'dorsal fin' bodied Leyland Tiger PS2/3 new in 1950. Comedy legend Arthur Mullard plays the driver.
The acting isn't great but Acker's clarinet playing is immaculate:
Created with Boltwire.
