In The Money (1958, The Bowery Boys)
This was the last of 48 'Bowery Boys' comedies. The plot concerns a poodle and trans Atlantic diamond smugglers, hence the stock shots from New York and London of mixed age. The New York footage includes a passing Yellow Coach 718 (fleet number 163) of the New York City Omnibus Corporation, a rear engined design built circa 1936:
The London scenes include RT family buses including the standard view of Piccadilly Circus, also the equally standard shot of trams on Westminster bridge:
.....but interestingly also this much older footage featuring three AEC Ks and (as the shot fades out) an LT class AEC Renown at Westminster Abbey:
Created with Boltwire.
