The Island (1952)
"Showing the construction of an oil refinery on the Isle of Grain; film sponsored by the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company. This shows what happens to a remote community when the oil refinery is built and how it changes the landscape. The killer arguement is that 'we must have oil to live today'. A nice couple of Maidstone and District buses, one I think is a Daimler and the other a Bristol K." (thanks Bob Wingrove, who provided the screencaps)
