A reporter makes a bet that he can disappear for a month. Location shooting took place on the South Coast of England, including at the New Palace Pier in St Leonards on Sea, which was demolished in the 1950s. Hastings trolleybuses are glimpsed passing and further along the promenade:
The significant sighting however is of this Tilling-Stevens B9A with Short body, identified by Scott McAvoy-Hunnisett as KO7325, new to Maidstone and District in 1928, but seen here with 'Rayford and District' fleetnames. Our hero is dressing as he runs up to the road from the beach to flag the bus down:
