Look Before You Leap (1974, Jim Rowell, Linda Gough)
Comedy short filmed in Sunderland about a man who joins a dating agency. In one scene at Park Lane Bus Station, he crosses in front of the garage and then a forward entrance Northern General AEC Routemaster in National Bus Company red but replete with traditional 'Shop at Binns' front advert:
He waits in front of Northern General 2034 (2034PT), a 1962 Leyland Atlantean with Roe body:
A young woman steps down from a Sunderland District Leyland Leopard; in the background is a Sunderland liveried Leyland Atlantean/Park Royal, while a Northern General Atlantean passes in the distance:
It happens she's there to meet another man, though, and a second woman appears, with a Northern General Leyland-National in background, and then a Leyland Leopard:
He starts to hail her; meanwhile two mechanics have started examining 2034, while a Northern General Daimler Fleetline/Alexander W saloon passes behind:
On seeing she is pregnant, however, he changes his mind and turns away, while behind him an AEC Reliance of Economic Bus of Whitburn approaches. It's either 6 (6623UP) or the now-preserved 5 (8031PT):
