Village of the Damned (1960, George Sanders)
"A small minibus is shown having run into a ditch due to the mysterious alien power which has put everyone to sleep in the village of Midwich and the surrounding area." Stuart Turner suggests the bus is "pretty definitely a Karrier with Reading body. Possible registration is NTV or NTW 12, with the letters BPM on the side panel". (thanks Alan Sinclair) The movie was filmed in Letchmore Heath, Hertfordshire. Martin identifies the operator as Brookmans Park Motors from the leaf design on the side, and suggests the registration is a fake. This 0perator did have 883CPP, a Reading bodied Karrier 98A, which had a much larger role in Clash By Night, made in 1963, but this time with the fleetname covered over.
