What A Life! (1948, Richard Massingham)
Comic short intended to dispel the public feeling that Britain was 'going to the dogs'. The film failed so miserably in its aim that a Conservative MP asked in the House of Commons whether it had been an appropriate way to spend £9000 of taxpayers' money. Bob Wingrove supplied these screencaps of Clarkes of London AEC Regal/Duple HYN488 while on hire to London Transport. LT hired large numbers of coaches between October 1947 and August 1949 to help deal with heavy passenger traffic:
