A small bus company, Federated Bus Lines, jointly run by Theodora 'Ted' Dawson (Wray) fights against 'wildcatters' trying to put it out of business.
The buses in question are prewar Flxible Clippers, and three separate fleet numbers are seen.
24 is run off the road by a car swerving in front of it and has to be repaired:
22 loses a rear wheel and crashes off the road:
When repaired it swerves to miss a car and ends up crashing into a statue of a cow, killing the driver:
