Brookside (Channel 4 soap opera, 1982-2003)
"In 2000, Chester sold Dodge S56/Northern Counties 238 (E38YFM) to Mersey TV in full fleet livery to use as such in
Hollyoaks. However, shortly after it started to make regular appearances in C4's Brookside (also Mersey TV) in an orange/yellow livery"
(thanks Pete Thomas).

The original opening credits featured a Merseyside PTE Metro-Scania/MCW. In later years, a Bristol RESL/Eastern Coachworks was shown (thanks Mark Harrington). Later opening credits feature Merseypride/LMS former BEA Routemaster NMY655E in a pseudo Liverpool Corporation livery, also various vehicles of MTL and North Western. (thanks CCR)

"An episode of Brookside that aired on 19 June 2002 had shots filmed from an office block in Birkenhead with views of the Mersey and the Liver Building in the background. Not just that, but visible pootling around the car park just off Birkenhead Bus Station was one of First PMT's little yellow Gulliver Technobuses, (batch 51-6 (S251-6 AFA)). Now you don't see many of those on telly!" (thanks to a sharp-eyed Graeme Selway)
