Open Air (BBC magazine show, 1986-9)
Nick Blurton recalls a show featuring Skills of Nottingham:
"This was produced in Manchester by the BBC and was a daytime transmission. At the time (which would be around 1985) I was driving for Skills and was operating a tour based on Southampton, visiting the locations for the filming of 'Howards Way' [BBC seafaring soap]. The BBC sent a camera crew along for the duration of the tour, and the coach is seen in a number of shots, including one negotiating the roundabout outside the Southampton Post House - we did it three times before they were happy. The coach was 40 (B40 KAL) a Jonkheere bodied Volvo B10M."
