The Open University (2002)
Programme: Moral Panics - The Agony and the Ecstasy

An essay on British youth culture shown in February 2002 has newsreel and TV news footage of Mods and Rockers fighting at Brighton (possibly also Clacton?): a Southdown round-backed single decker with fleet number and destination display beneath the back window; a Maidstone and District Leyland Atlantean with youths rampaging in front of it on the promenade; a full-fronted forward control small coach (Austin? Commer?) of Grey Cars and a Duple Bella Vista bodied coach registration AXYxxx or AYXxxx - all in the first five minutes! (thanks Scot Fergie)
