A Ford Transit minibus belonging to (fictional) Tate Transport crashed in one storyline. any more information? More recently Harrogate and District 108 (L659MYG), a Mercedes 711/Plaxton Beaver, has appeared. (thanks Ralph Adams)
David Kat recalls "Emmerdale Farm, as it was many moons ago - I was in the traffic office of Wallace Arnold mid 1970s and the cast transport was very often a Bedford VAS/Plaxton but I am sure there was the odd Leopard just passing by." In the same era, Alan Sinclair reports seeing a Bristol LH and a Leyland-National of West Yorkshire Road Car.
Alan also reports that in an episode shown a few years ago, "several of the residents went on a day trip in an East Yorkshire ex-London AEC Routemaster. One of the characters referred to this fine vehicle as 'a shed on wheels'. What a cheek!"
Stephen Osman notes "the bus currently used [June 2002] is a Harrogate & District Alexander Dash-bodied Volvo B6. " and confirms the use of Harrogate & District 781 (M386VWX), a Volvo B6/Alexander Dash, in August 2002. November 2003 appearances are by Harrogate & District Dennis Dart MPD 705 (YG52GDO) and Volvo B6LE/Wright Crusader 642 (P642 UUG) - both noted by Stephen Osman. "The episode aired on 20 December 2005 featured a Pennine Motor Services Dennis Dart fleet number D9 (P696HND), which came from Countryman of Ibstock. Both interior and exterior shots of the bus were seen." (thanks Chris Hough)

The Kenny Everett Television Show (BBC comedy series)
"Tim Hornby and I did a great interior scene with Kenny Everett for his show. There was a Chinese restaurant with diners, and a girl says to Kenny 'I think I'll have a number 19' (shorthand Chinese restaurant ordering), and we crash an RT with route 19 blinds through the wall, taking tables and chairs through it. Kenny then simply says, 'The trouble with a number 19 is that you always feel like another one' and we do it again!!
I well recall as we came through the wall one of us picked up a rogue real chair (not a balsa wood one), and as the RT radiator pushed the chair along it picked up a power cable, brought down some lights and the whole stage was blacked out with crashing props and lights falling amongst the cast!!
" (thanks Leon Daniels)
Experience Preferred but Not Essential (Channel 4 drama)
Features Crosville Bristol SC4LK/Eastern Coachworks SSG612 (782EFM). Supposedly set in Wales, actually filmed in the Isle of Man. (thanks CCR)
The Experimenter (BBC schools programme)
People: Programme 1:
Opens and closes with footage of and aboard an unidentified Road Car (Lincolnshire) Bristol VRTSL3/Eastern Coachworks.
The Expert (BBC drama series)
Colin Read reports "A Midland Red double-decker (possibly a D7) appeared in an episode of 'The Expert' on BBC TV, late 1960s. Believed to have been filmed around Leamington."
Allan Haynes can add some more: "I was sound assistant (boom op.) on the first series, in April 1968, and sound recordist on several later episodes. The series actually ran until 1976 but seems to be largely forgotten now. The Expert himself was played by old-school actor Marius Goring as pathologist Professor John Hardy. The programme was indeed set in Leamington Spa though later series did a lot of filming nearer to London to reduce costs. My diary notes an excursion to Hull and Spurn Head on the first series, the story involving a seaman who developed smallpox and was dumped over the side of the ship. I think we did some filming on the erstwhile Hull Ferry (before the bridge was built) - we certainly travelled back that way. Leamington was fairly full of Midland Red buses, though at that time I think D9s w ould be more likely suspects."
Extraordinary People: The Boy Who Lived Before (Channel 5 documentary)
Steve Bunce notes "The latter part of the programme involved a family touring around the Isle of Barra in Renault Master SF04LRN, owned by H MacNeil, Castlebay, Isle of Barra"
