"Like many large companies, Ford Motor Co has an internal TV network called FCN (Ford Communications Network). One of the weekly news programmes in September 1994 ran a story about two employees who restored old buses at the Castle Point Transport Museum. One was me, the other was a gent called Peter Wise. The short item featured shots inside Castle Point Transport Museum, interviews with me and Peter Wise, and extensive footage of me driving my preserved Eastern National Bristol Lodekka FLF, AVX975G, accompanied by (you guessed it) the theme tune from 'On the Buses'." John Hewitt notes a green/cream (postwar) Bedford OB/Duple Vista setting down a stranger in a village. Tim Wootton advises this is his LTA750 (originally Western National 1411), and has kindly provided photographs from filming, one posing with LTA750, the other an interior shot with some of the extras


Again features Mervyns Coaches HOD75, a 1949 Bedford OB/Duple:

Features Dews Coaches CUT465, a 1944 Bedford OWB rebodied in 1952 by Duple. So the body is an anachronism, the chassis not!

"As this is set in New York, there are often background views of New York buses in street scenes. In the episode, "The One with the Baby on the Bus" a bus plays, naturally, a more prominent part.
